Eligibility Requirements
The students who want to apply for the King Abdulaziz University scholarships must meet the eligibility requirements below:
For Undergraduate:
- Good Academic Standing: KAU seeks students with a strong commitment to academic excellence and good conduct.
- High School Diploma: Hold a high school graduation certificate or equivalent, obtained within the past 3 years from within or outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- Age Limit: Be at least 17 and no older than 25 for the bachelor’s degree program.
- Guardianship: If you’re under 18, you’ll need to be accompanied by a close relative residing in the Kingdom regularly.
- Meeting Admission Requirements: Beyond these general qualifications, check the specific admission requirements for your desired program.
- The applicant shouldn’t hold a scholarship from any Saudi universities
- The applicant shouldn’t have been previously expelled from any Saudi University
- The applicant must be medically okay.
For Masters and Ph.D:
- Age Limit: Candidates for a Master’s degree should be no older than 30, while Ph.D. applicants must be 35 or younger.
- Academic Credentials: Hold a recognized qualification from your home country with a grade of “Very Good” or above (if a grading system was used).
- English Language Proficiency: Demonstrate your skills by submitting a recognized English language test certificate.
- Letters of Recommendation: Provide two letters of recommendation from faculty members at your previous institution, highlighting your academic achievements and potential.
- Clean Academic Record: Maintain good academic standing and haven’t been dismissed from any Saudi educational institution.
- Language Proficiency for Specific Programs: If applying for programs in Arabic Language and Literature, Islamic Studies, Sociology, Psychology, or Information Science, proficiency in spoken and written Arabic is required.
